Eleftheria Arvanitaki

Eleftheria Arvanitaki is an acclaimed Greek singer. She is primarily classified as a folk artist, but her music is a pretty eclectic blend as a whole. Just thought I could introduce her work to some people here who may not have heard of her otherwise:

This is a version of a traditional song called "Tzivaeri" ("Treasure"). The arrangement and production are by Philip Glass and the cover was commissioned for his Orion project.

For something more upbeat, this is "Tou Pothou T' Agrimi" ("The Beast That Is Desire") from her album "Tragoudia Gia Tous Mines" ("Songs for the Months")

A song off her best-known album, "Ta Kormia ke ta Macheria" ("The Bodies and the Knives"). This is called "Parapono (The Grudge) / Xenitia ("Immigration)".
